Frank Wazybok Obituary

 

Frank H. Wazybok, 96, of Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2018, in the Scottdale Manor and Rehabilitation Center, in the caring presence of his loving family.

Frank was born in Everson, October 20, 1921 a Son of the late Felix and Josephine Szostek Wazybok and was a lifetime member of the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R. C. Church, Everson, where he served for a number of years on the Parish Council.

He was a graduate of the former Scottdale High School, Class of 1940.  He retired as a Machinist from Robertshaw Controls, New Stanton, following 40 years of service.

Frank was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1943 to 1946 and participated in air strikes against the enemy in the Pacific area and was also a participant in the occupation of Japan.  He attained the Rank of Sergeant (AVN) (TW).

Frank was an honorable and kind man who loved his family and was loved in return.

His loving wife of 66 years, Thelma G. Marciniak Wazybok, whom he married October 20, 1951.

His four loving children:

Kathleen Wazybok Brolley  (William) of Ebensburg

David Wazybok and wife Joan of Castle Hayne, N.C.

Mary Ellen Wright and husband Brian of Ebensburg

Michael Wazybok of Annandale, Va.

His nine adoring Grandchildren:

Julia and Jeff Fumea of Unity

Thomas Brolley of State College

Matthew Brolley, U.S. Air Force, Okinawa

Melanie and Thomas O’Brien of Greensboro, N.C.

Sarah Wazybok of Raleigh, N.C.

Christopher Wazybok of Greensboro, N.C.

Emily Wright of Michigan

Grace Wright of Pittsburgh

Elizabeth Wright of Ebensburg

His two Great Grandchildren:

Rocco and Nina Fumea

His two Nieces:

Frances Thiel

Dolores Wisiloski

In addition to his parents, Frank will once again be reunited with:

His Son, Thomas E Wazybok (May 23, 1962)

His Son-In-Law, William Brolley

His Sisters, Ann Kane, Jean Campana, Stella Barton and Nellie Wazybok

His Brothers, Thomas, John and Mitch Wazybok

Family and Friends are invited to attend Frank’s Funeral Mass at 11 AM, Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in the Partner Parish of St. Joseph R. C. Church, Everson, with his Pastor, Rev Andrew M. Kawecki, as Celebrant.  You are also invited to his Committal Service, immediately following the Mass, in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Everson.

Everyone please meet at the Church and it was Frank’s wish, that flowers be omitted.
