Clara R. Martinosky Severi, 90, of Scottdale, passed away Sunday morning, April 29, 2018 in UPMC Magee Womens Hospital of Pittsburgh in the presence of her loving family.
She was born January 11, 1928 in Owensdale, a Daughter of the late Frank and Mary Wisniewski Martinosky.
Clara a life member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale.
She was Graduate of Scottdale High School Class of 1946. She was employed as a Clerk for the former McCrory’s Five and Dime Store, Scottdale, with 25 years of Service.
Years ago, Clara volunteered every Friday for a number of years, for the Fish Fry’s at the Scottdale VFW post.
Clara is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her,
Her loving and devoted husband of 65 years, John B. Severi, whom she married June 13, 1953;

Deborah J. McGinnis and husband James of Connellsville
Donna M. Sofranko and husband Jeffrey of Mt. Pleasant
And John B. Severi, Jr. and wife Sandra of Scottdale
Her Five Grandchildren:
Eric McGinnis, Brandon Sofranko, Nathaniel Sofranko, Cynthia Severi and John B. Severi, III
In addition to her parents, Clara, will once again be reunited with her infant Daughter, Cynthia Ann Severi, who died in 1954.

Clara’s family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Wednesday from 2 – 4PM & 6 – 8PM.
Prayers of Transfer will be offered Thursday at 9:30 AM in the Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Kosisko as Celebrant and the Rev Leonard Stoviak as Con-Celebrant.
Committal Services and Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery, Scottdale.
A Parish Wake service will be held Wednesday at 7:45 PM in the Funeral Home.
