Betty J. Roadman Schwartz 64 of Second Avenue, Scottdale died peacefully Sunday evening, September 10, 2006 at her residence with he loving family at her side.
She was born July 17, 1942 in Alverton, PA a daughter of the late James Guyer and Helen Ruth Grimm Roadman.
Betty was a long time member of Jacobs Creek United Methodist Church
She was affiliated with the East Huntingdon Twirlettes Marching Unit for 20 years, "The Sunshine Foundation" and fundraising chairperson for "The Caring Ones"
Betty enjoyed crafting was an avid bingo player. Years ago Betty was the coffee hostess for Sheetz and a former employee of the former McCory's 5 and 10 in Scottdale. Her greatest enjoyment came with becoming the owner and operator of their family meat market on the family farm and loved working along with her late husband Kenny Schwartz for 15 years and also served as the office manager.
Years ago Betty was also a waitress for several local restaurants.
She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister to her family.

Betty's family will greet friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Tuesday from 7 PM to 9 PM and Wednesday from 2 PM to 9 PM.
Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11 AM in the Funeral Home with her Pastor Rev. Patty Comini-Miller, Pastor of Jacobs Creek United Methodist Church, Officiating.
Committal services and Interment will follow in Alverton Cemetery.
The family suggest memorials be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111Stewart Avenue Bethpage, NY 11714 in memory of Betty J. Schwartz.
