Arvin R. Daniels, 66, of Youngwood, died Tuesday afternoon, October 30, 2018, in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg, in the presence of his loving family.
He was born February 18, 1952 in Scottdale, the son of Charles Bowman Daniels of Vermont State and the late Joan Alberta Bandemer Daniels.
Arvin was a former member of Holy Cross R.C. Church, Youngwood.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving with Operations Co. USAJSC, Ft. Ritchie, Maryland from March 1, 1969 to March 31, 1971, where he received his GED and attained the rank of SP/4. He then reenlisted in April 1, 1971 serving in Germany and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal and attained the rank of SGT E5.
Arvin was a retired technician for Verizon with 20 years of service. He was a member of the Youngwood V.F.W. Post # 211 and Scottdale VFW Post #7781.
Arvin is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Arvin’s family and friends are cordially invited to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 W. Pittsburgh St. Scottdale, Friday from 2 – 4PM & 6 – 8PM.
A Liturgy Service will be held Saturday at 10:30AM in the Funeral Home, with Rev Richard Kosisko, Pastor of St. Pius X Church, Mt. Pleasant, officiating.
Full Military Honors will be conducted immediately following the Liturgy, at the Funeral Home, by the Mt. Pleasant American Legion Post #446 Honor Guard.
Committal Services and Interment will immediately follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs.
