Carl L Aiello

Carl Lynn “Lenny” Aiello, 73 of Scottdale, passed away peacefully, Tuesday evening, April 9, 2024 in Independence Health System Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. On November 19, 1950, Carl was the first of twins born to Sunday and Catherine (Vujanovich) Aiello. Carl was raised Catholic by faith and graduated Southmoreland High School Class of 1969. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 – 1973 and saw duty in Mississippi, California and Keflavik, Iceland. During his life he was employed at Duraloy Technologies, Volkswagon Westmoreland and Master Lee Energy Services Corp. from where he retired in 2015. His employment with Master Lee involved performing specialty testing and maintenance at nuclear power stations all over the world. Carl was married to Valerie Koza in 1976, with whom he enjoyed many trips to Disney World. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie in 2011, his sister, Catherine Pervoy in 2012 and Brother, Steven Aiello in 2023. Carl is survived by his brothers, Earl Aiello of Dubois, Pa. and David Aiello and wife Diane of Roaring Spring, Pa. In honoring Carl’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. His Cremation Arrangements have been entrusted to the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. 417 Pittbsurgh St. Scottdale, Pa. 15683. A Private service for his family will be held at a later date. Those who wish to honor Carl in a special way, the family suggests that Memorials be made to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County at 139 Humane Society Rd. Greensburg, Pa. 15601.
