MARY HELEN HARDIK SKALA, 82, of Scottdale, died early Saturday morning, November 12, 2011 in U.P.M.C, Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born November 3, 1929 in Scottdale, a daughter of the late Mike and Helen Lucas Hardik and was a member of St. John The Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale.
Mary’s memories will forever remain in the hearts of her loving family;
Daughter, Margaret Brown and husband Robert
Son, Ralph Skala III and wife Sandy, both of Uniontown
Son, David Skala and wife Carla of Princeton, W.Va
Five Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren
Her Sister, Dolores “Babe” Hardik of Scottdale
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by;
Her husband, Ralph Steven Skala, Jr.
Two Sisters; Helen Tartal and Anna Burkus
Four Brothers; Michael, Andrew, Joseph and George Hardik
Mary’s family will greet friends Wednesday, November 16th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc., 417 West Pittburgh Street, Scottdale where Prayers Of Transfer will be recited at 9:30 AM Thursday, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM in the Church Of St. John The Baptist, Scottdale, with her Pastor, The Rev E. George Saletrik, as Celebrant.
Committal Services and Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown.
St. John’s Ministry of Consulation will conduct a prayer service Wednesday at 1:45 PM in the Funeral Home.
