Grief Resources

Holding a funeral or memorial service for your loved one is a positive first step in the grieving process. Family members and friends get a chance to say their goodbyes, and at the same time, they get to share strong feelings with one another.

In the days, weeks and months following the service, people continue to need others to lean on for understanding, encouragement and guidance. For that reason, many local and national support groups have formed. These groups provide a common place and a comforting environment for expressing emotions through each phase of the grieving process. To learn more, discuss grief counseling and support options with your funeral director.

Bereavement Facilitator

We owe a lot to you for placing your trust in us. That is why we have added programs beyond what you typically find from many funeral homes.  We offer informative books and brochures on topics such as coping with grief and explaining death with children. We have a list of local support groups to help you through your grieving process.

Here at the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. we also offer a grief facilitator for you and your family. He will meet with you on an individual basis or as a family group free of charge as many times as needed. This is provided to adults and children of all ages. If you are interested in this program, please contact us to arrange an appointment date and time.
