Frank Kapr CFSP
Funeral Director/Supervisor/Owner

Frank is a lifelong native of Scottdale. A graduate of the former Immaculate Conception High School, Connellsville, Pittsburgh Institute Of Mortuary Science and received his Associate Degree from Point Park University, Pittsburgh.

Currently serving as President of the firm, Frank is responsible for its overall direction and daily operations.

Frank has been a life long member of St. John The Baptist R.C. Church of Scottdale where he served for 17 years on the Church Parish Council. His civic involvements are many, including member of the Scottdale Volunteer Fire Department, presently serving since 1993 on the Board Of Directors of Mutual Aid Ambulance Service, member and President of the Scottdale Community Civic and Industrial Association, Scottdale Zoning Board, Board member and past President of the Scottdale Area Chamber Of Commerce.

Frank Is an Army Veteran serving with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, HQ HQ Co. 110th Infantry, 28th Division during the Viet-Nam Conflict.

Accomplished achievements for the Funeral Home include: Five time recipient of the National Funeral Directors Associations Eagle Award and recently the Golden Eagle Award for outstanding services by the Funeral Home. Funeral related memberships for Frank are as follows, member, past President and board member of the Westmoreland, Indiana and Armstrong Counties Funeral Directors Association, member of the Pennsylvania State and the National Funeral Directors Associations. He also holds membership in the prestigious Selected Independent Funeral Homes organization.

Frank assisted in the recovery and identification process of the devastating crash of US Air Flight 427 near the Pittsburgh International Airport on September 8, 1994 and the Crash of United Flight #93 by terrorists in Shanksville, PA., Somerset County, September 11, 2001. Frank has been a member of the Glenn Gelder Foundation for Mass Fatality Preparedness since June 2003.

Frank is married to Rhenee Gadd Kapr and resides above the Funeral Home.

Rhenee Gadd Kapr:

Rhenee was born in Brownsville a daughter of the late Lillian Mae Gadd.

Rhenee is a member of St. John The Baptist R.C. Church, Scottdale. She is a Graduate of Fairchance Georges High School, York Run, PA., and attended Penn State University Fayette Campus, Uniontown.

Rhenee is presently serving as the Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc. She is actively involved in the Daily Operations of the Funeral Home and has been office manager since 1982.

She is a member of the Scottdale Kiwanis Club and Charities Limited.

Rhenee is married to Frank Kapr and resides above the Funeral Home with their pet Yorkie Brianne.

Nancy B. Kapr Krowicki:

A Graduate of the former Immaculate Conception High School, Connellsville, Attended Seaton Hill University of Greensburg, and a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute Of Mortuary Science. She served her internship under the supervision of her father, the late Frank Kapr. Presently she is a Licensed Director at the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc.

Alyson Swank:

Alyson was born and raised in West Newton the daughter of Smitty and Janet Oblack Swank with whom she resides along with her brother Ian.

Alyson graduated from Yough High School Class of 2004. She graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute Of Mortuary Science, May 12, 2006, where she earned her Associates Degree in Funeral Service and Small Business Management.

Presently, Alyson is employed as a Licensed Funeral Director with the Frank Kapr Funeral Home, Inc.of Scottdale and a member of the Westmoreland, Indiana and Armstrong Counties Funeral Directors Association.

Alyson has been an active firefighter and member of the Turkeytown Volunteer Fire Dept since 2000. She is a member of the West Newton Community Festival where she has been the Director of the West Newton Community Festival Beauty Pageant since 2006. In her spare time, Alyson enjoys competing in Beauty Pageants and spending time with her family.
